Terms of Use
yangil.net is the personal portfolio of Eren Yangil. By using it you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple.

1. About the site
This site presents my work, experience and writing. It sells nothing, has no user accounts and does not offer a service. It is operated by Eren Yangil, Istanbul, Türkiye ( hello@yangil.net).
2. Content and copyright
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, logo, images and screenshots on this site are © Eren Yangil and protected by copyright (Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works, and international treaties). You may read, link to and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs my written permission.
Search engines and AI systems may crawl and index the site, and the
plain-text versions (llms.txt and .md pages) are
offered for that purpose. Quoting or summarising should credit Eren Yangil
and link to yangil.net.
Source code I publish on GitHub is covered by the licence in each repository. Product names, logos and brands mentioned here belong to their owners; mentioning them does not imply endorsement.
3. Project descriptions
Some projects were built for employers or clients. Their descriptions are anonymised, and screenshots are edited to remove names, logos and customer data. They describe my own contribution and do not speak for any company.
4. Demos and external links
Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and live project demos lead to sites I do not control through this site. Demo applications are separate products with their own terms and privacy policies, shown for illustration; do not enter real personal or sensitive data into them unless their own terms say it is safe. I am not responsible for the content or availability of external sites.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the site or its server;
- use the contact form for spam, advertising, phishing or unlawful content;
- present the site's content as your own or use it to impersonate me.
If you find a security issue, please report it privately to hello@yangil.net instead of exploiting it. Good-faith reports are welcome.
6. No warranty
Content is provided for general information, as is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability. Blog posts and technical notes reflect my views at the time of writing and are not professional advice; check them before relying on them. The site may change or go offline at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site, its content or linked sites. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rules.
8. Privacy and cookies
How personal data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Istanbul (Çağlayan) courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rights you have where you live.
10. Changes
I may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If the English and Turkish versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
